Saddle is operated by Saddle Technologies Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales.
Saddle is designed to help self-employed people and businesses organise everyday business records including invoices, expenses, receipts, mileage information and tax-related records.
Features may also include estimates, summaries, reminders, exports and other tools intended to help users understand and organise their financial records.
Your Saddle account
Some Saddle services require you to create an account. You are responsible for providing accurate information and keeping your account details up to date.
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity carried out through your account.
You must not share passwords or security credentials in circumstances that could allow another person to gain unauthorised access to your Saddle account.
If you believe that your account has been accessed without permission, contact us as soon as possible at support@getsaddle.uk .
Using Saddle for your business
Saddle is intended primarily to help self-employed people and businesses manage their own business and financial records.
If you use Saddle on behalf of another person, organisation or business, you confirm that you have authority to do so and to provide any information that you enter into Saddle.
You remain responsible for checking that information recorded in Saddle is accurate and complete.
Saddle is a record-keeping tool
Where your circumstances require professional advice, you should speak to an appropriately qualified adviser.
Saddle may calculate, estimate or display figures based on the information you provide and the rules, assumptions and tax information available to the service at the time.
These calculations are provided to help you understand your records and financial position. They should not be treated as a guarantee of your final tax liability or any amount that may ultimately be due to HM Revenue & Customs or another authority.
Tax records and deadlines
You remain responsible for ensuring that your tax, accounting and business records are accurate and for meeting any filing, payment or record-keeping obligations that apply to you.
Saddle may provide reminders, estimated deadlines, quarterly views, Tax Packs or other tools intended to help you prepare for these obligations.
You should check important filing and payment deadlines against the latest information provided by HM Revenue & Customs or the relevant authority.
The availability of a Saddle feature does not transfer responsibility for your tax affairs to Saddle Technologies Ltd.
Information you enter into Saddle
You are responsible for information, documents and records that you add to Saddle.
This may include information relating to customers, clients, contractors or other individuals.
You must only upload, record or otherwise provide information where you have a lawful reason and appropriate authority to do so.
You retain ownership of the business information and records that you provide to Saddle.
You give Saddle the limited permissions necessary to store, process, display, back up and otherwise handle that information so that we can provide the service to you.
Receipt scanning and automated processing
Saddle may use automated technology to read information from receipts, invoices or other records and may use automated processing to help categorise or summarise information.
Automated extraction is not guaranteed to be accurate. You should review information extracted from documents before relying on it.
You are responsible for correcting errors where information has been read, categorised or interpreted incorrectly.
Saddle Brain and estimates
Saddle may provide features such as Saddle Brain that use the records in your account to estimate or summarise your financial or tax position.
These features depend on the accuracy, completeness and timing of the records you provide.
An estimated figure shown by Saddle may differ from the amount ultimately calculated by HM Revenue & Customs, your accountant or another professional.
Mileage and location-related features
Saddle may provide mileage, journey and route tools. Route distances and journey information may be calculated using third-party mapping or routing services.
Route calculations are estimates and may differ from the distance actually travelled.
You remain responsible for checking that mileage records used for business or tax purposes accurately reflect your journeys.
Free and paid features
Saddle may offer a combination of free features, subscription features, paid upgrades, usage allowances or optional purchases.
The price, billing period and features included with a purchase or subscription will be shown before you complete the purchase.
We may introduce, remove or change plans and features from time to time. Any change affecting an existing paid subscription will be handled in accordance with applicable law and the rules of the platform through which the subscription was purchased.
Subscriptions and renewal
Where Saddle offers an automatically renewing subscription, the price, billing frequency and renewal arrangements will be displayed before you subscribe.
Unless stated otherwise when you purchase it, an automatically renewing subscription continues until it is cancelled.
If your subscription was purchased through Google Play, the Apple App Store or another app marketplace, billing and subscription management may be handled by that platform.
You can manage or cancel an app-store subscription using the subscription controls provided by the relevant platform.
Uninstalling Saddle or deleting your Saddle account may not automatically cancel a subscription purchased through an app store. You should separately cancel the subscription through the platform where it was purchased.
Trials, promotions and beta access
We may offer free trials, promotional access, beta access or other limited offers.
Any specific eligibility criteria, duration, pricing or conversion to a paid service will be explained before you participate.
Beta and pre-release versions of Saddle may contain bugs, incomplete features or functionality that changes before the final release.
Beta features should not be relied upon as your only copy of important business or tax records.
Payments and refunds
Payments made through an app store or other payment provider may also be subject to that provider’s terms and payment rules.
Refund requests will be handled in accordance with applicable law and, where relevant, the policies and processes of the platform through which the purchase was made.
Nothing in these terms affects any legal rights you have that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.
